The Pacifica High softball team scored three runs in the first inning and never let Long Beach Poly into the game as they Mariners rolled to an 8-0 win in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs last Thursday at Pacifica.<\/p>\n

Hannah Boos pitched seven innings, scattering six hits with seven strikeouts. Junior Hannah Martinez was 3 for 3 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored. Irieanna Naea was 2 for 3 with a home run, double, two RBI and two runs scored. Jaymee Campbell, Dejah Mulipola and Alison Seng also drove in runs for the Mariners<\/p>\n

In other softball news, Garden Grove High beat Flintridge Sacred Heart in the first round of playoffs<\/p>\n

Sophomore pitcher Olivia Candelas pitched a five inning three-hitter to help the Garden Grove softball team to a 12-1 win over Flintridge in the CIF-SS Division 5 playoffs last Thursday at Garden Grove High.<\/p>\n

Senior Alyssa Fernandez was 3 for 3 with three RBI to lead the offense. Sophomore Andrea Corrigan drove in three runs as well. The Argonauts advanced to the second round.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
