Vince Bodiford, the Group Publisher of Orange County Neighborhood Newspapers, Inc., (OCNN), and publisher of this newspaper, is departing the company this week, the company said.<\/p>\n

Bodiford, 54, has been named President and Publisher of a daily newspaper and media group in the Midwest. He departs the Orange County post on Friday, March 10. He has held the position for six years. <\/p>\n

Bodiford, 54, has been named President and Publisher of a daily newspaper and media group in the Midwest. He departs the Orange County post on Friday, March 10. He has held the position for six years. <\/p>\n

"Vince has been integral in raising the quality, awareness and brand of the OCNN publications. Under his watch, OCNN is better positioned for future success as Vince's love for the papers, the relationships forged and his tenure has solidified our footing here," said Linda Townson, Senior Vice-President of CommunityMedia Corp., OCNN's parent company.<\/p>\n

He and his wife Jeanette live in Seal Beach.  He has served as president of the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce, chair of the Seal Beach Classic Car Show, board member of the Seal Beach Police Foundation, and as a supporter of many local non-profits.<\/p>\n

He is a career newspaper publisher and the former owner of newspapers in Texas, Colorado, and Nebraska.<\/p>\n
