Twenty pieces of artwork from 18 Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade were requested by the City of Garden Grove to be displayed in its sister city, Anyang, Republic of South Korea for the summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur visual arts program is one of the strongest in the county and the talent that we have here at GGUSD is extraordinary,\u201d said Dina Nguyen, Board of Education trustee. \u201cOur students feel honored that their artwork will be viewed from folks on the other side of the globe.\u201d<\/p>\n

Students whose artwork will be displayed include: Vihn Nguyen, transitional kindergartner at Garden Park Elementary; first graders Fred Forbes and Jaden Powers from Stanley Elementary; third grader Lily Loung of Post Elementary; seventh grader Daniel Tran and eighth graders Yu-han Chien and Quinn Phan of Alamitos Intermediate; eight graders Tiffany Moua and Rosalyn Pham of Fitz Intermediate; Britney Pham, seventh grader at McGarvin Intermediate; eighth grader Andrew Angulo of Ralston Intermediate; 10th grader Tiffany Le of La Quinta High; 10th grader Kaila Yanagisawa and 11th grader Jose Barron of Los Amigos High, and Skyler Pointer, eleventh grader at Pacifica High School.<\/p>\n

Camille Tran, an eleventh grader at La Quinta High, will have three pieces of art on display and Santiago 12th grade student Kayla Garnica will each have two pieces of artwork on display.<\/p>\n
