\n\tEntrants will receive $1,000 in chips and play in a winner take all format with both team and individual championships at stake.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tThe Travel Channel and the World Poker Tour have popularized the “hold-em” game of poker. Whether you are an experienced player or a novice, you can test your skills in a fun-filled charity event right here in Garden Grove. Players need not be experienced!<\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tEvent organizers would like to invite you to enter a team of eight players into this tournament. Cost per single player is $40. A $300 donation will be accepted for a team of eight players. This is a fundraiser for the Miss Garden Grove Scholarship Pageant and the Garden Grove Lions Club. <\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tYour donation will provide food and entry into the tournament. Prizes will be given to the first, second and third place winners.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tThe winning team (the last team to have three players remaining in the game) will receive a trophy and a $300 contribution to the 501(c)(3) charity or local-non profit group of their choice.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tA light dinner will be served at 5 p.m. and card play will begin at 6 p.m.  <\/span>A no-host bar, including mixed drinks, sodas and coffee will be available for a minimal donation. All players will be given several opportunities to “re-buy” additional chips for a $20 donation during the evening. <\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tBetting will be programmed (details to follow for entrants) and play will conclude at approximately 11 p.m.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n\tEntries are limited to the first nine teams (72 players maximum). If you don’t want to be left out, submit your check right away. <\/font><\/p>\n
