Students at Eisenhower Elementary, Doig Intermediate, and Santiago High School were thrilled to receive a generous gift of more than 2,300 school supplies donated last week through a partnership with United Way of Orange County and the Automobile Club of Southern California.<\/p>\n

\u201cGGUSD is grateful for the generosity of amazing community partners that share our vision of supporting students\u2019 academic and personal success,\u201d said Walter Muneton, Board of Education trustee.\u00a0 \u201cProviding tangible tools like pencils, notebooks, and calculators is a huge help for our students and their families, and will surely lead to continued growth and learning in our classrooms.\u201d<\/p>\n

Students received backpacks filled with school items that they use every day such as notebooks, crayons, pencil boxes, pencils, scissors, erasers, and markers at the elementary level; binders, highlighters, index cards, and protractors at the intermediate level; calculators, binders, college notebooks, and highlighters at the high school level, among many other items.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
