By TED APODACA: The Bolsa Grande High boys basketball team reached the championship game of the Los Amigos Winter Classic before falling in overtime to Marina, 67-57, on Saturday at Los Amigos High.
The Matadors were led by Sebastian Waked, who had 17 points and Ralph Bolanos, who added 13. Noah Santiago had 10 points, but the Matador offense struggled in the overtime period, scoring just three points. Bolsa Grande had defeated Pacifica, Saddleback and Oxford Academy to reach the championship game.

In the semifinals, Waked and Derick Tran led the Matadors with 13 points each in a 59-36 win over Oxford Academy. Bolanos and Jimmy Nguyen each added eight points for the Matadors.
