The Argonauts went into the playoffs as the third place team out of the Garden Grove League and hosted the wild card game against the Warriors.
In other baseball action, the Rancho Alamitos High baseball team jumped out to a 3-0 lead but could not hold it, as it fell to La Salle High, 8-3, in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 3 playoffs last week at Rancho Alamitos.

Blake Culbert had a double and two RBI for the Vaqueros. Jesse Candelario, Sammy Osuna and Shane Zielinski all had hits and scored a run. Errors plagued the Vaqueros, who allowed four-run innings in the fourth and seventh to let the game slip out of their hands.
