The Mariners finished with 10 hits and made no errors in the field. Nicole DeWitt impressed at the plate, where she went 3-for-3. Her performance included a pair of doubles and a grand slam. She also scored a pair of runs and drew a walk.

Additionally, seniors Ruby Rivera and Rebecca Lee also finished with a pair of hits. Rivera also chalked up an RBI and Lee had a double. Faith Canfield, Sydney Hart and freshman Dejah Mulipola also had one hit each.

Pitcher Kaylee Carlson earned the win, tossing all seven innings. Though she allowed two earned runs, she recorded six strikeouts while walking four and allowing five hits.

The Mariners dented the board for a run in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead. They then failed to dent the board for the next two innings. However, DeWitt belted her grand slam in the fourth. Though El Modena struck for two in the fifth, the Mariners responded with two runs of their own in the sixth.
