Rancho Alamitos High beat Garden Grove High, 54-53, on last minute free throws in a game played Wednesday night at Garden Grove High.
The victory dashed Garden Grove High's chance of winning the Garden Grove League. The Argonauts finished 8-2 in league play. Santiago High School won league, finishing with a record of 9-1.
