The voters of Garden Grove and Stanton have spoken.
On Tuesday, Nov. 4, Garden Grove voters re-elected Bruce Broadwater to the position of mayor. They also voted in incumbent City Councilman Kris Beard and Phat Bui to the City Council.
In Stanton, incumbent City Council members Rigoberto Ramirez (mayor), David Shawver and Brian Donahue were re-elected.
Voters passed Measure GG, which calls for a 1-percent sales tax increase, with the tax money going to public safety.

Citizens also ousted incumbent Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva (D-65th District), giving the nod to challenger Young Kim, who is a Republican. The 65th District includes Garden Grove and Stanton.
