Leaders of the Garden Grove Unified School District celebrated the opening of the district’s new Family Resource Center, which will connect families with important resources from trusted community partners, with a ribbon cutting last week.

Leaders of the Garden Grove Unified School District celebrated the opening of the district’s new Family Resource Center, which will connect families with important resources from trusted community partners, with a ribbon cutting last week.

District leaders thanked the district’s two dozen community partners for supporting the initiative. They also thanked the Boys and Girls Club of Garden Grove for partially funding the center’s full-time staff member, as well as United Way, Western Digital, and KPMG for donating 700 backpacks full of supplies for students in need.

The center is on the Mendenhall Campus, 13611 Clinton St. in Garden Grove. Pictured is the ribbon cutting.
