Garden Grove Fire personnel were sent to a possible heart attack with a female in cardiac arrest at the board and care home at 10811 Chapman Avenue in Garden Grove last week.
Upon their arrival, fire personnel found a deceased female, later identified as Garden Grove resident Hoa Sui, with apparent lacerations around her face and neck. Fire workers requested police officers respond to investigate.

Upon their arrival, fire personnel found a deceased female, later identified as Garden Grove resident Hoa Sui, with apparent lacerations around her face and neck. Fire workers requested police officers respond to investigate.
Upon officers’ arrival, they determined the death was suspicious. During the course of the investigation, the victim’s roommate, Garden Grove resident Lucie Wardell, who is pictured, was interviewed and confessed to having murdered Sui.
At this time, the motive behind the murder is unclear and the investigation is continuing. Wardell has been booked for murder and is being held at the Orange County Jail.
