The city of Garden Grove’s Tiny Tots and Kare Bears programs offer a convenient alternative to private daycare for pre-schoolers. 

Openings still exist for these programs that give children, between the ages of 3 and 5, an early start kindergarten by teaching them learning and socialization skills that promote personal growth and development. 

The city of Garden Grove’s Tiny Tots and Kare Bears programs offer a convenient alternative to private daycare for pre-schoolers. 

Openings still exist for these programs that give children, between the ages of 3 and 5, an early start kindergarten by teaching them learning and socialization skills that promote personal growth and development. 

Activities combine stories, games, crafts and playtime that help to build a sense of self-worth, confidence and respect through a safe and positive experience.  Each session also includes a parent participation excursion to a local place of interest.

The Tiny Tots program consists of 41 sessions, running through Dec. 17. Classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at Edgar Park and West Haven Park.  Children must be toilet-trained and be 4 years old by Sept. 1, 2014.  The cost for 41 sessions is $435.

Kare Bears is held two days a week, Tuesday and Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., through Dec. 16, at Edgar Park and West Haven Park.  Children must be toilet-trained and 3 years old by Sept. 1, 2014.  The cost for the 26-sessions is $280.
