The Pacifica High School girls’ softball team won the CIF championship in fine form with a 1-0 victory over King High School in Riverside on Saturday.
The team finished the season with a 29-4-1 record and ranked No. 9 in the nation. Pitcher Kaylee Carlson was stellar in the championship game, hurling 12 scoreless innings and striking out 11.
Brooke Marquez hit a clutch double that drove in the only run of the game.
