Winners of four contests held at the 56th annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival last week received trophies and thunderous applause at the Garden Grove amphitheater.
Trophies were presented by Miss Garden Grove Outstanding Teen Sara Silberman, Miss Garden Grove Jessica Tonti and others in her court. Trophies were awarded in multiple categories.

TINY TOTS KING AND QUEEN CONTEST

TINY TOTS KING AND QUEEN CONTEST
John McKay was crowned Tiny Tots King and rode in the festival parade float alongside Addison Rose who was crowned Tiny Tots Queen. Their photographs ran in last week's Orange County News.
BERRY, BERRY BEAUTIFUL BABY CONTEST
Jaelynn Naranjo swept the judges away as grand prize winner of the Berry, Berry, Beautiful Baby Contest.

REDHEAD ROUNDUP CONTEST
The Redhead Roundup Contest is the oldest of the festival contests; the first was held in 1958. This year’s Best Redhead Sweepstakes winner was Garden Grove resident Talitha Baumann.

STRAWBERRY IDOL KARAOKE CONTEST
The grand prize winner was Miriam Kim from Murietta. The second place winner was Anaheim resident Johnny Finger and third place was won by Kaitlin McMahon from Lake Elsinore.
The four contests are held annually as part of the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival. Contestants register an hour or more before the contests begin and winners are chosen by a panel of festival board members and local citizens. Each winner received a trophy.
