Council gives kudos to grads

For a third year, the city is recognizing Garden Grove college graduates for their outstanding accomplishments.

The city is seeking names and information from Garden Grove residents who will receive a spring or fall 2015 undergraduate or post-graduate academic degree from any college or university. Graduates who submit their information by April 1, 2015 will be recognized at the April 28 City Council meeting, at 6:30 p.m.

The city is seeking names and information from Garden Grove residents who will receive a spring or fall 2015 undergraduate or post-graduate academic degree from any college or university. Graduates who submit their information by April 1, 2015 will be recognized at the April 28 City Council meeting, at 6:30 p.m.

Prior to the recognition, the higher education alumnae and their guests will be invited to attend a private reception, hosted by Mayor Bao Nguyen and the Garden Grove City Council, at 5:30 p.m. During the private reception, each graduate will be entered into an opportunity drawing for a chance to win an Apple iPad Air 2, sponsored by Signal Hill Petroleum, or a $100 gift card from Target.

Businesses who would like to sponsor this event are asked to contact the Office of Community Relations at 714-741-5280 no later than March 16, 2015.
