Thomas recently was presented with a $1,000 check for winning the Stanton 60^th Anniversary Trivia Contest, sponsored by the Stanton Community Foundation and City Council; the city has been promoting it for months.

All Stanton residents were eligible to take the test. Those who received 100 percent were entered into a drawing for a chance to win the $1,000. The winner was announced at the city’s final summer Concert in the Park at Stanton Central Park.
