Pecor moved to Garden Grove in the 1940s, opened a furniture store on Garden Grove Boulevard, and later bought properties on Euclid Street, later to be known as Main Street. In the 1960s, when Euclid Street was re-routed and the city suggested changing the street name to “Old Euclid,” he successfully rallied to have the name changed to “Main Street” instead.

Pecor passed away on July 8, 2014, at the age of 92.
