The Pumpkin Factory in the Westminster Mall parking lot (north side) is a delightful sight to see and visit – all decked out in fall pumpkin attire with a large assortment of pumpkins in varying sizes and colors.
It's a yearly favorite for Westminster and Garden Grove residents, as well as residents from surrounding cities.
There are Halloween pumpkins to purchase and take home to carve with family and friends, or cook and make pumpkin pie for the group.
Also, there are carnival rides, games, slides and ponies for the children to ride, as well as face painting and a petting zoo, all places to capture that fun and memorable moment in time with your camera or i-phone.
Entrance fee includes food to feed the hungry and eager animals and you can see mother and son donkeys that will bray for food. It sounds like “Aw-ee! Aw-ee!”
There’s a bounce house for energetic children to work off energy and a selection of soft-slides for the kids to clamor-up and swiftly slide down with smiles and faces all aglow.
The pumpkins are all grown on a family farm and are part of the Pumpkin Factory LLC franchise of Orange County pumpkin patches, with pumpkins that are already picked from the field and brought to the Westminster Mall.
Owners say they specialize in pumpkins of all sizes and family entertainment. They offer a variety of pumpkins, all California grown.
The Pumpkin Factory began in 1992 as a family-owned and operated business, having grown pumpkins for more than 20 years, which began when they sold wholesale to Ralphs and Vons.
The Pumpkin Factory provides families fun-filled hours as they experience the wonder of an actual pumpkin patch.
The Pumpkin Patch is open Mondays through Thursdays from noon to 9 p.m.; Fridays from noon to 10 p.m.; Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The patch closes at 8 p.m. on Halloween (Oct. 31).
