Over the past year, St. Paul’s Lutheran School and Preschool in Garden Grove has been going through a restructuring process. During the transition, the preschool has remained open and has experienced an increase in its enrollment. The rest of the campus is being revamped and is now known as St. Paul’s Lutheran International Language School and Preschool.

The vision of St. Paul's Lutheran International Language School is to model academic excellence, bridge English language development, mold future leaders and connect students to the Lutheran system of education.

Currently, recruitment of international students with I-20 visas is focused on those in grades 5-8 or ages 10-14.  The school is able to help with home-stay options, if needed.  The program at St. Paul’s ILS is a one-year "Bridge Program" consisting of four terms (fall, winter, spring and summer). Each term lasts three months and includes 10-weeks of academics, cultural trips and English Language development. The school accepts students each term.

During traditional school breaks and summer months, St. Paul’s offers camps to both local and international students of all ages. Upcoming camps include the Spring Camp on March 20-April 7, session one of Summer Camp on June 12-July 14, and session two of Summer Camp on July 17- Aug. 18.  Each camp has a theme, includes a daily snack, games, service projects, activities, crafts and possible field trips to local attractions.

St. Paul's Lutheran International Language School is an educational ministry devoted to the spiritual growth and academic development of students, through cultural activities in California.  Once the students have passed our program, they will be encouraged to continue their education in Orange County, by enrolling in the many other Lutheran elementary schools, two Lutheran high schools and one Lutheran university or a Lutheran school across the nation.
