As such, leaders at the Boys & Girls Club of Stanton are initiating the program at their location this year and took part in the recent Stanton Central Park grand opening.

Staff members said the unique leadership development experience provides opportunities for young people ages 14 to 18.

As part of their community service recently, Keystone members sold nachos during the grand opening of the new Stanton Central Park and donated the money they made to help homeless within the community.

Part of what the Boys & Girls Club of America does is to hold an annual National Keystone Conference, which is a character and leadership development opportunity.

Staff said through the conference, Keystone members get a chance to socialize with their peers and explorer relevant issues, along with developing skills to support and enhance efforts in the local Boys & Girls Clubs and their communities.

And just because it's summer, learning at any of the Boys & Girls Clubs doesn't stop. There are learning programs such as the Summer Brain Gain that is not only a fun but educational experience, "That aims to prevent summer learning-loss and keeps kids on track for the coming school year. The program is supported by Disney and Old Navy.

The program of 10 one-week modules has themed activities for elementary, middle and high school students, taking a project-based learning approach where youth participate in learning through discovery, creative expression, group work and a final project or production.
