Uyen Thy, the owner, opened a small, quaint, French decor bistro with only 10 tables that maybe seat 30. If you are in a rush, there is also a take-out counter immediately as you walk in the door.

The menu is filled with an assortment of foods from breakfast through dinner with an emphasis on Vietnamese foods. Definitely arrive hungry, as you will eat a healthy portion for the amount of money you spend. We spent less than 25 dollars including tip and took food home for dinner.
After we sipped our pulpy fresh salty lemonade, we started with dry egg rolls which were deep fried and served over rice vermicelli. They were small but scrumptious especially with the dipping sauces.
The Boeuf Bourguignon was full of flavor as they used three large cuts of beef. The bourguignon is a French beef stew in burgundy wine, carrot, mushroom and herb sauce. The Chicken Marengu was a sizable Cornish hen with a mushroom wine sauce. Both served with salad, garlic bread, tomato seasoned rice and macaroni salad.
Not impressed with the sides but keep in mind that this is a small bistro and doesn’t seem to have a large kitchen. The meats in main dishes were both marinated, flavorsome and not chewy.
The presentation was pretty nice which was rather surprising since 10 minutes after we ordered our food, it was on the table.
A couple of things I would encourage the owner to do: please get fresh French bread and butter for bread should never come out of foil. Since they do not serve alcohol, I would not recommend this restaurant for a sit down French meal.
Uyen Thy Bistro has a lot of positive points especially for the fast lunch crowd. It’s clean, it has fair prices, and there is lots to choose from on the menu. Therefore, you can go back several times and really get to taste all of the delicacies.
