BY LOREEN BERLIN: The Westminster Mall held a grand opening for the Sky Zone Trampoline Park last week.

General Manager Todd Garrison said this is the first Sky Zone that has been opened inside a mall.

"I grew up in Huntington Beach and it's exciting for me to be here," he said, adding that the Trampoline Park should breathe new life into the mall.

The site is a former Old Navy location, upstairs by Macy's, but it's transformed into a place of fun physical activities. There are special rooms for birthday parties, group events and "All you can jump" locations, along with "Ultimate Dodgeball" too.

"I'm so excited to see the Sky Zone opening in our city," said Mayor Tri Ta. "Especially in the Westminster Mall; this will surely create more reasons for many families to go to the mall and I will definitely bring my children here.”

"It's great to see the Westminster Mall bouncing back, thanks to the opening of Sky Zone trampoline park," said Mayor Pro tem Sergio Contreras. "The new business will surely jump-start 80-to-100 new jobs and renewed interest in the Westminster Mall and as a father of two young children, I'm excited to have a clean and respectable business where I can spend time with my family; I know my neighbors and friends are too.”

Councilwoman Margie Rice  said, "I think this is fabulous. It’s so elaborate, which covers a lot that kids can do. They need something to keep busy.”

Trampoline Park owner Jim Bellino praised the city for being great to work with.

"I want to thank the city; you were a most helpful and cooperative city to work with. Everyone was incredible.”
