For over three decades, the service brings together family, friends, and colleagues of Sergeant Myron L. Trapp, Officer Andy Reese, Officer Donald F. Reed, Officer Michael Rainford, and Master Officer Howard Dallies, Jr., as well as community organizations and the public, to pay tribute to the lives and ultimate sacrifices of these five fallen Garden Grove police heroes.

The program will also include a helicopter fly-over.
The ceremony includes the ringing of the Memorial Bell, 21-gun salute, riderless horse, and formal presentations to the surviving families. The Bolsa Grande High School Concert Choir will perform musical selections in honor of the occasion.
