Forum set on plan to expand 405

The 405 Freeway Cities Coalition of Orange County will hold a town hall forum at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the Community Services Building at 8300 Westminster Blvd. in Westminster.

The 405 Freeway Cities Coalition of Orange County will hold a town hall forum at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the Community Services Building at 8300 Westminster Blvd. in Westminster.

The forum will offer  an opportunity for the public to voice opinions on the Orange County Transportation Authority’s (OCTA) proposal to  add toll lanes along the I-405 Freeway between the 55 Freeway and 605 Freeway in Orange County.

On hand will be a panel made up of City Council members from each of the cities – Westminster, Los Alamitos, Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley and Costa Mesa – with leaders on The 405 Freeway Cities Coalition.

Also expected to be on hand are State Assemblyman Travis Allen, State Assemblyman  Allan Mansoor and Orange County Supervisor John Moorlach.

The OCTA board of directors Is scheduled to vote on the proposal at its Nov. 8 meeting.
