The outdoor fitness equipment has a total of 15 body mass resistant machines which includes an air walker, cross country ski, leg press and elliptical cross trainer. Several of the exercise equipment are wheelchair accessible.

Funding for the $64,000 project was provided by Greenfield Outdoor Fitness and the Orange County Partnerships to Improve Community Health (OC-PICH), whose mission is to promote self-sufficiency by mobilizing and directing resources to programs that assist Orange County.

The new outdoor fitness equipment at Garden Grove Park is the fifth public outdoor fitness area in the city. Other locations include Magnolia Park, Jardin de los Niños Park in Buena Clinton and Eastgate Park.

The equipment supports the city’s goal to enhance the quality-of-life in the community by providing opportunities and amenities for recreation and physical fitness.
