According to Lieutenant Bob Bogue, who manages the department’s Professional Standards Division, this is an excellent opportunity for those interested in law enforcement and starting a career with the Garden Grove Police Department.
“Our department is strongly committed to increasing the number of community-based police officers. We are expecting an excellent turnout for our recruitment process based on an increased awareness among the public about the importance of Community Policing and expressed interest from citizens who aspire to become police officers,” he said.
All applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent resident aliens who are eligible for, and have applied for citizenship. Bilingual language skills are highly desirable.
