Walk through the fantasy-land of the Pumpkin Factory, which sets the autumn theme, into an open area, where youngsters and parents can purchase small cups of food to feed the animals in the petting area.

Then, there's an array of huge soft slides such as Finding Nemo and Bat Man, a large racing car and a ship over-taken by an octopus, along with a pumpkin bounce house for the brave-at-heart to venture. There are mechanical rides such as a train, jeeps, helicopters and a lighted Ferris Wheel; there are games to play and ponies to ride, along with face painting.

"We were traveling on the freeway from San Diego to Torrance when we saw the Pumpkin Factory from the freeway," said Bill Lugar, with a sleeping baby in his arms, "So we said, 'We have to stop.'"

Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon, in the Pumpkin Factory, the Simon Kidgits Club is hosting a "Happy Haunting Halloween Party."

“Westminster Mall is the perfect place for families looking for Halloween entertainment in a fun and safe community environment,”said Director of Marketing and Business Development at Westminster Mall Nate Weirbach. “Whether kids want to show off their new costume or take home some Halloween-themed crafts, there is an activity for every ghost, witch, princess and werewolf. The Halloween event is a great addition to our year-long Simon Kidgits Club program. There will be  activity stations and games for children to enjoy, including pumpkin decorating, giveaways and crafts."

"In addition to the Kidgits celebration, the Mall will host 'Halloween Happening,' a Halloween party presented by the city of Westminster on Halloween night, Friday, Oct. 31. An invasion of ghosts, skeletons, super heroes and princesses can trick-or-treat through the mall and play kiddie carnival games from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the lower level Macy’s wing."
