 The city of Garden Grove’s Tiny Tots and Kare Bears programs offer a convenient alternative to private daycare for pre-school youngsters. 

Programs give children an early start to kindergarten by teaching both learning and socialization skills that promote personal growth and development.

 The city of Garden Grove’s Tiny Tots and Kare Bears programs offer a convenient alternative to private daycare for pre-school youngsters. 

Programs give children an early start to kindergarten by teaching both learning and socialization skills that promote personal growth and development.

The Tiny Tots program consists of 40 sessions, running Sept. 9 through Dec. 18. 

Classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at Edgar Park and West Haven Park. 

Children must be toilet-trained and be 4 years old by Sept. 1. 

The cost for the 40-session program is $405. 

Kare Bears is held two days a week, Tuesday and Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., from Sept. 10 through Dec. 17, at Edgar Park and West Haven Park. 

Children must be toilet-trained and 3 years old by Sept. 1. The cost for the 27-session program is $270.

Parents are required to attend three or more of the classes for both programs.  Both Tiny Tots and Kare Bears programs require the child’s birth certificate for registration.  Edgar Park is at 12781 Topaz St.  West Haven Park is at 12252 West St.

Open House for Tiny Tots takes place on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 9 a.m. in Edgar Park, and at 10 a.m. in West Haven Park.  Kare Bears Open House takes place on Sept. 5 at 9 a.m. at Edgar Park, and at 10 a.m. at West Haven Park.

Registration for all programs can be made at the first floor recreation counter in Garden Grove City Hall, at 11222 Acacia Parkway.
