Giving Children Hope is a local nonprofit organization located in Buena Park that has made it its mission to provide sustainable hope through wellness programs and disaster response in collaboration with local and global communities.

The group's programs involve providing basic needs, nutritional food, and medical

resources.

“Thank you for coming together today for supporting this great cause,” said Mayor Rigoberto

Ramirez to Stanton employees. “We are extremely proud to support Giving Children Hope in providing services to our community.”

Mayor Ramirez donated 650 pounds of rice to the food drive.

Currently in Orange County, almost 28,000 children are identified as homeless through the McKinney‐Vento Homeless Assistance Act.

Giving Children Hope has been working to increase the provision of healthy meals on a weekly basis to a growing number of children and families in economic need. Their food donation program, We’ve Got

Your Back, is currently available in 46 schools throughout Orange County, and the number of backpacks filled with food being distributed each week is just over 1,500.

As a result, more than 6,100 individuals are provided with about nine tons of nutritious food, including fresh fruits and vegetables, weekly.
