BY TONY CHEONG — Into cars?

Don't miss the Stanton Spring Car Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 16 at Stanton Park, 7800 Katella Ave. in Stanton.

All cars are welcome. There's a $25 charge. Proceeds benefit the Stanton Community Foundation.

I could say a lot of things about new Garden Grove Police Chief Tom Schultz. He's been in the business for more than 30 years. He has a list of credentials longer than Shaquille O'Neal's arm.

A gal such as myself, from the Bronx, has been accused more than once of having a hard heart.

You know what softens it? Every. Single. Time?

Couples that went to their high school proms together and later got married. High school sweethearts to the end. So I'm on Schultz's side, because he's been married to his high school sweetie for 27 years.

Awww.

Speaking of proms, Westminster High School is gearing up for its special night, as well as graduation day.

Check out future editions of the Westminster Journal — one of Orange County Neighborhood Newspapers' many weeklies — for news and pictures of these seminal events in the lives of teens.

And boys, treat the ladies well. Be gentleman. I won't go into my  prom story but suffice to say… ugh.

I guess that's why I'm not married to my high school sweetheart. He wasn't sweet, and I'm not even sure he had a heart.
